Welcome to IIF Bryntirion Infants
Congratulations to all staff and pupils at Nant-y-Parc Primary School. Sue from IIF really enjoyed the day she spent with you in early September.
The very successful conference took place on the 15th March 2018.

All Saints Church in Wales Primary School achieved the Investors in Families quality mark in January 2017. The award was presented by Sally Holland, the Children’s Commissioner for Wales.
The seminar in Cardiff attracted 50 delegates from across Wales, pictured with the IIF certificates and plaques for schools gaining the quality mark in the last six months.
The key focus was on “Keeping learners safe” and co-incided with Child Protection Week.
Sue Davies (IIF) and Christine Jenkins (Bryntirion Comprehensive School) set out the guidance and how a primary and secondary school had implemented the policy.
Stephen Gear from Department for Education was able to update the delegates on the current situation in government.
Glamorgan County Cricket Club have achieved the IIF Quality Mark for their work with families. The club runs a huge programme of “Cricket in the Community” activities that are detailed on its website.
IIF is proud to welcome Glamorgan as a member of IIF. We will continue to work with Mark Frost and Andrew Hignell to develop cricket in the community and their work with families.
Glamorgan will host IIF seminars and conferences, which will offer delegates a chance to see the Swalec stadium and visit the Cricket Museum.
We have recruited a team of headteachers, teachers and education professionals to work with IIF to assess schools seeking the accreditation.
Our peer assessors will also be setting up local networks across South Wales for IIF schools and schools working towards the award.
Full details of the team and how to contact them will be published shortly.
